Pharos Construction Leadership
Brandon McSwain's journey into the construction industry is anything but conventional. Initially embarking on his path through an opera scholarship to the Hayes School of Music, he honed his creative talents while studying recording and production at Appalachian State University. During his time in college, he discovered a passion for building and space design while aiding in the construction and cabling of the Robert F. Gilley Recording Studio, igniting a lifelong fascination with the intricacies of creating environments.
After college, Brandon spent several years at Sweetwater Sound, where he excelled in designing cutting-edge recording studios and advanced technology systems. His career took an exciting turn as he transitioned into audio and lighting design for high-profile trade shows, concert stages, and corporate events, integrating complex technologies that captivated audiences. He also spent many years designing high end custom rooms for audio, video , lighting and acoustic treatment for large houses of worship, high end nightclubs and commercial spaces all over the country including Las Vegas, New York City and Orlando.
For the last decade, Brandon has seamlessly blended his love for technology and construction with real estate through his development company, Merritt Development. Here, he has successfully flipped homes, developed both long-term and short-term rentals, and managed new construction projects.
Now, as a fully licensed General Contractor in North Carolina, Brandon brings his extensive expertise in construction and home technology to Pharos Construction, where he collaborates with investors, partners, and clients to transform spaces into functional and innovative environments.
